There is still time for you to take advantage of the early-bird fee for the 2022 EUA-CDE Annual Meeting, “Time and timing in doctoral education”. The conference will be hosted by the University of Manchester on 22-24 June. The deadline for early-bird registration is 25 April. After this date, standard registration fees will apply.
Through sessions in different formats, this year’s Annual Meeting will explore key topics relating to the issue of time, and how time and timing shape key aspects of doctoral education today. Topics to be addressed during the conference include the duration of a doctorate, time to degree and its relation to funding, and how to ensure that the duration of a doctorate corresponds to the need to complete a high-quality research project. It will also invite participants to reflect on how best to prepare doctoral candidates for their doctoral journey, time management as a key skill and part-time doctorates.
We would also like to remind you that EUA-CDE is seeking proposals for presentations and posters for this conference. The call for contributions, only open for EUA-CDE members, closes today. For more information, please refer to the full call for contributions.
Finally, national and regional doctoral education networks will this year have the opportunity to gather before the Annual Meeting. If you would like to organise such a meeting, please contact us before 1 May 2022 at email@example.com. Please note that rooms available for such meetings are limited.
