Universidad de Jaén (UJA) is a public higher education institution based in Andalucía (Spain) that was created in 1993 and which has received the distinction of Campus of International Excellence in the fields of Agrifood (CEIA3) and Climate Change (CamBio), plus it also leads the Andalusian CEI project on historical heritage PatrimoniUN10. Besides, the UJA highly ranks for its contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals according to THE – Times Higher Education (World University Rankings).
UJA has five faculties (Social and Legal Sciences; Humanities and Education Sciences; Health Sciences; Experimental Sciences and Social Work) and two higher polytechnic schools for engineering (Linares and Jaén) as well as an associated center (SAFA Professional School in Úbeda). In turn, these centers are organized into 35 departments, plus six specialized centers at UJA (CAAI, INUO, IISTA, DaSCI, CEACTEMA, CEATIC) strongly contribute to the university’s outstanding R&I performance. The UJA will be happy to receive expressions of interest from prospective candidates that would like to apply for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships funding in order to continue their career with us. Interested applicants should (a) hold a PhD degree at the time of the deadline for applications (Applicants who have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but who have not yet formally been awarded the doctoral degree will also be considered eligible to apply); (b) have a maximum of eight years experience in research (from the date of the award of their PhD degree); and (c) not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline.
